What is Melodi?
Melodi is an iOS app for musicians who practise from notated music. It keeps your sheet-music library, your repertoire, and your practice record in one place — and it can follow where you are in the score and turn the page for you while you play.
Which devices does Melodi run on?
Melodi is designed for iPad, where the score reading experience is at its best, and runs on iPhone with the same features at a narrower measure.
How does hands-free page turning work?
While you play, Melodi listens through the microphone and works out where you are in the score, turning the page at the right moment — including through repeats, D.S. al Coda, and volta brackets. Audio is processed on your device and is never uploaded.
What kinds of music does it support?
Any music written in conventional staff notation: classical repertoire, popular songs, jazz arrangements, film and game scores, and musical theatre. Lead sheets, chord charts, and tablature are not supported.
How do I get my sheet music into the app?
Import PDFs from Files, scan paper music, or bring in anthologies — Melodi can find the individual pieces inside a book so you can shelve and practise them separately.
How much does Melodi cost?
Melodi is free to download from the App Store, with optional paid features. Full pricing is shown on the App Store listing before you buy.
Is my practice data private?
Yes. Your library, annotations, and practice record are stored on your device. See our privacy policy for the full details.
